Coin District is a marketplace for private companies. Verified investors can back unlisted companies during their funding round on the Launchpad, through tokens that represent the company's shares or bonds.

Crowdequity is a crowdfunding method where a large number of people invest small amounts in a company in exchange for equity. It works by allowing investors to purchase ownership stakes in the company.

The main difference lies in the type of reward for investors. In crowdequity, investors acquire equity in the company, while in traditional crowdfunding, investors may receive non-monetary or symbolic rewards in exchange for their financial support.

Company valuation can be determined by various methods such as comparable analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, financial projections, etc.

Investors are identity-checked, and tokens (ERC-3643) can only move between verified wallets. Your capital is not guaranteed.

The secondary market is not open yet. Until it is, plan to hold your investment until the company is sold or listed. Even once it opens, a sale will depend on another investor buying your offer.

Your tokens can only be held by verified investors: a transfer to a wallet that is not verified is rejected by the token itself. Coin District does not offer a transfer or resale feature yet.

Blockchain is a form of distributed ledger technology that securely and immutably stores data using linked and cryptographically secure transaction blocks. Other forms of DLT may differ in their architecture and specific features.

Token issuances and transfers are recorded on the Polygon blockchain, where anyone can check them. It does not show how a company uses the money it raised.
