About Coin District

The marketplace for private companies

Most of the economy's growth happens before a company is listed, and until now only a few investors could take part. Coin District turns the shares and bonds of unlisted companies into permissioned tokens, so that verified investors can back them during their funding round and follow them. Selling to other investors is planned, on a secondary market that is not open yet.

Our mission

  • Open accessGive individual investors the rounds usually reserved for funds and business angels.
  • A way outLet investors offer their tokens to each other, peer-to-peer, instead of waiting years for an exit. This secondary market is not open yet.
  • Trust by designVerified investors, permissioned tokens, and every project reviewed by our team before it is listed.

What Coin District does

One verified account for every service, all built on the same permissioned tokens. The Launchpad is open; the other services are announced.

Security

How investors are protected

Tokenization changes how your securities are recorded, not the risk of the company. These controls apply to every investor and every token.

Legal documents

The rules that apply to your account and your investments are set out in our Terms of Service and our Risk Disclosure.

Read the legal notice
  • Permissioned ERC-3643 tokens

Recorded on Polygon. They can only be held by, and transferred to, verified investors; any other transfer is rejected by the token itself.

  • KYC for every investor

Identity verification before investing, and an investor qualification questionnaire on knowledge and experience.

  • Projects reviewed

Every project is reviewed by our team before it is published on the Launchpad.

  • Your own wallet

Tokens are issued to the wallet you bound to your account. Coin District never holds its private key.

None of these protections removes the risk of the companies themselves: you may lose all the capital you invest, and a buyer for your tokens is never guaranteed. Read the Risk Disclosure.
