How it works

From a funding round to tokens in your wallet

Four steps, the same for every company on the platform.

  1. 1

    Discover

Read the round: what the company does, what it raises and on what terms. Documents sit on the same page.

  2. 2

    Get ready to invest

Complete the investor questionnaires, verify your identity and bind your wallet. Your investor qualification is renewed every 2 years.

  3. 3

    Invest

Choose an amount and pay by card. Your tokens are issued to your bound wallet.

  4. 4

    Follow

Find all your investments in your dashboard, and follow each round.

The register of who owns what is kept on a blockchain. The tokens follow the ERC-3643 standard, built for securities: only verified wallets can hold them or receive them.

Frequently asked questions

What you own, how you pay, and what happens when you want your money back.

What exactly do I own?

Tokens that represent the securities of a private company, its shares or its bonds depending on the round. They follow the ERC-3643 standard on Polygon and are issued to the wallet you bound to your account.

How are my tokens protected?

Your identity is verified before you can invest, and these tokens can only be held by verified wallets: an unverified wallet cannot receive them. They are issued to your own wallet, not to a pooled account, and Coin District never holds its private key.

How do I pay?

By card, in euros, from the page of the round you choose, where the minimum ticket is shown. Once the payment is confirmed, your tokens are issued to your bound wallet. Payment in USDC is announced but not available yet.

Can I sell my tokens?

Not yet: the secondary market is not open. Until it is, plan to hold your investment. Even once it opens, a sale will depend on another investor buying your offer.

Investing in unlisted companies carries a risk of losing all of your capital, and your holding may be impossible to sell when you want to.
